The initial release of a Shinigami's Zanpakuto. Transforms your weapon with unique abilities and moveset. First major power spike for Shinigami players. There are 6 Shikai ability types: Flame, Ice, Senbonzakura, Ink, Reversal, and Mobility. Activate with Control + M1/M2.
Requirements Before You Start
- • Shinigami character with a crafted Zanpakuto
- • Level 25 to begin meditation and Spirit Whisper events
- • Level 35 before entering the Shikai boss stage
How to Unlock
- 1. Reach Level 25 and start meditation (press L)
- 2. Watch for Spirit Whispers above your HP bar — meditate immediately when they appear
- 3. Complete the Bells Puzzle in Inner World (riddle answers: "An Echo", "A Promise", "The Future")
- 4. Reach Level 35 through Fog Gate requirement
- 5. Defeat Shikai NPC Boss (3 phases: Base → Second Form → Final Form)
- 6. Hold E to activate Shikai weapon after defeating the boss
Tips
- • Spirit Whispers are time-sensitive — meditate as soon as you see them
- • The Bells Puzzle answers persist — blue bells are completed, white are pending
- • Shikai Boss has 3 phases — the final form regenerates HP bars
- • Weapon unlock and ability unlock are separate steps
- • Use Ability Tokens to manage or reroll Shikai abilities
- • 6 Shikai types: Flame (burn), Ice (freeze), Senbonzakura (petals), Ink (debuff), Reversal (counter), Mobility (movement)
- • Defeated enemies drop Soul Pages — turn them in for bonus EXP
Preparation Checklist
- 1. Meditate as soon as a Spirit Whisper appears; the prompt is time-sensitive.
- 2. Track completed Bells by color so you do not repeat solved riddles.
- 3. Bring recovery items and plan for all three boss phases.
- 4. Keep stamina available for the final phase instead of using every dodge offensively.
- 5. After winning, test the release and its activation before changing the build.
